About Me

All about moi!

Well, let’s start waaaaay back in the beginning. I was due to enter this world in the very early part of December 1976. I didn’t arrive until December 20th. Ass-backwards, face down, with my legs and umbilical cord wrapped around my neck, needless to say, it was an emergency c-section. The nurses called me “crazy legs” on account that my legs had been wrapped around my neck and they didn’t seem to want to lay flat. But I went home on December 25th in a stocking. A stocking that my mother still has in her old hope chest.

Jump forward a few 17 years or so and I was voted “Most Unusual” by my high school class. I take it as a compliment, though, I think they just weren’t sure what to do with me. Graduated near the top of my class and went on to the University. Then I dropped out after my second semester because I was in love. My husband (ex now) and I married in 96 and had our first daughter in 97. Our second daughter was born in 2000.

I’ve lived in various different cities in the United States and have done some international traveling on business. I’ll have to share my story about my Dubai trip one of these days… such a riot.

My first husband and I divorced. We had two children together. My second husband passed away suddenly in 2010.

My Sunshine, is 12 and soon to be 13, is in total tween action. My Little Bit is my 9 year old. She was also diagnosed with Asperger’s.

My daughters are brilliant, beautiful and a joy. Except when they are yelling, screaming and making a total mess… then I pause a moment to reflect upon the quiet times… like when they are asleep!

I have a thing for zombies… I knit poorly, though I’ve made a scarf or two. I love to read and I’ve toyed with writing a novel from time to time. I never actually make it past the half-way point though. I had a life’s goal of going back to school and completing my education, which I did. My bachelor’s is in Business Management.

Unfortunately, the lottery fairy refuses to come to my door so I’m left to work to feed my family.
I enjoy having a debate and I love writing about all kinds of topics.

Thanks for visiting and please tell me a little bit about you.
