Secrets and News, Ever Shared with the Blogosphere First?
It’s a dim and dreary, rainy Tuesday up here in the North. I thought it fosters a mood of mystery… or gossip. I’m not really sure which, but let’s go with it.
Have you ever shared a secret or a life event with the blogosphere prior to sharing it with your family and friends in “real life”?
Ever said you were engaged before calling your mom? Announced to the world you were pregnant before telling the hubby? Ever told a secret that you’d never say out loud, but you’ve shared it with your blogging buddies? What happened?

No, I have to say anything I have shared, the people who are involved in it would have already known beofre I post in the blogosphere. But, it sounds kind of fun and mysterious!

Hehe, I've never done it either. I could only imagine the fallout... because I know my family or friends would find out somehow... then the proverbial brown stuff will hit the wall!
A "confessional"! i've got to think on this one....I know I have done this but I'm tired right now (worked last night) and my brain is all froggy.

i told all my friends and coworkers i was engaged before I told my mom
I think i told her i was getting married tommorow or something like that. Yes we are really close it was just I was living out of state and I didnt want to go through all the celebration she would have wanted too She has yet to forgive me
My brother and sister-in-law announced their pregnancy in their mass mailed Christmas letter. I was so bugged that I found out at the same time as some dude they went to elementary school with and have probably never spoken to or seen since. So I make a point of telling family big news first. It stinks to find out in the aftermath.

Hmm..I'm with Theta Mom on this one. I usually tell my hubby first for important stuff. Great post. I like reading what others have done, too.

Only one time crosses my mind where I have done some thing of the sort. I just found out I was pregnant with my second DS. DH was near the last to find out. You can't blame me though, he was in the Army and stationed in Maryland. There was no way to get in touch with him and by the time I did I had blurbed it to just about every one I knew!
No all of my secrets are shared beforehand. I have this memory issue. I can see me writing something. Someone asking me and me going oops. So I don't do that.
LOL, I announced my third pregnancy on my blog!
